Terms of use

Effective September 26, 2026 · Last updated September 26, 2026

About these terms

covera.ca is operated by Covera Inc. ("Covera", "we", "us"). By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The site is information only

This website describes a product we are building. Nothing on it is a quote, an application, an offer of insurance, or a contract of insurance, and no coverage is bound, issued or changed through this site.

Screens, sample prices, carrier examples and integration examples shown here are illustrations of how the product is designed to work. Real pricing, availability and eligibility depend on the insurer, your province, underwriting, and the information you provide in a completed application.

Guides and articles

This applies to our insurance guides. General information only, current as of the date shown. It is not insurance, legal or financial advice, and it is not a quote or an offer of insurance. Coverage, availability and pricing depend on the insurer, your province and your own circumstances.

Always confirm details with the insurer, your broker or another licensed professional before acting on anything you read here, and rely on the actual policy wording rather than a summary.

Waitlist and forms

Joining the waitlist or sending an inquiry creates no obligation on either side. We may respond, decline, or discontinue the waitlist or any feature at any time.

Please do not send confidential or sensitive personal information through these forms, including policy numbers, dates of birth, driver's licence numbers, payment details or health information. Information you submit is handled as described in our privacy policy.

Acceptable use

Search engines and AI assistants that follow our robots.txt are welcome to read, index and summarize the site. Do not use automated tools that ignore robots.txt, harvest personal information or overload the site. Do not work around our rate limits or security controls, submit false or someone else's information, upload anything malicious, or copy the site's content or design for a competing service. Do not reverse engineer any part of the site.

Intellectual property

The content, design, text, graphics and code of this site belong to Covera or its licensors and are protected by Canadian and international copyright law. You may view and print pages for your own personal use, or to evaluate a business relationship with Covera, such as a partnership.

Insurer names, logos and product names are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used for identification only. No insurer shown endorses, sponsors or is affiliated with Covera.

Links to other sites

Links to insurer sites, social networks or other third parties are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about it, including that it will be uninterrupted, error free or that its content is complete, current or accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Covera and its people will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of this site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to CAD $100.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be waived, including under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Covera against claims and costs arising from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product develops. The revised version will be posted here with a new effective date, and it applies from the day it is posted.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute, without limiting any right you have to bring a claim where you live.

If any part cannot be enforced

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
